Expo City Dubai is located on the Red Line (Red Line), one of Dubai's operational metro corridors. This is the final stop on the line, so all passengers alight here. Trains turn around and head back towards Centrepoint.

The station layout follows the standard Dubai Metro design – entry gates at street level, ticket counters and machines in the concourse, and platforms accessible via escalators, stairs, or lifts.

The area around Expo City Dubai station offers good connectivity to local landmarks. Expo City Dubai is about a 5-minute walk from the exit.
