Heritage
The metro makes reaching Al Fahidi Historical District incredibly simple. Here's the straightforward route:
Board the Green Line
Look for trains heading towards Al Ghubaiba. Check the display boards for confirmation.
Get off at Al Ghubaiba
The station is well-marked. Use the main exit towards the street level.
Walk to Al Fahidi Historical District
It's a quick 10-minute walk. You can ask locals or use Google Maps.
Built in the 1890s by wealthy Persian and Arab merchants, Al Fahidi was restored in the 1990s and declared a heritage zone by the Dubai government.
Getting here is straightforward thanks to the Green Line. Al Ghubaiba station puts you within walking distance, and the 10-minute walk is easy enough for most visitors.
While you're in the area, consider checking out Textile Souk and Dubai Creek – they're near the same metro station and can easily be combined into a single trip.
Did you know? The wind towers (barjeel) found here were ancient air conditioning systems — they capture wind and funnel cool breezes into rooms below.
