Central is located on the T1 (T1), one of Sydney's operational metro corridors. It sits between Town Hall and Redfern, making it a convenient stop for the surrounding area.

What makes Central particularly useful is its interchange connection with T2, T3, T4, T7, T8, T9, M1. If you need to switch between lines, this is where you'll do it – and you won't need to exit or purchase a new ticket. The interchange corridor is clearly signposted with color-coded directions.
